Batman Cover Fixed

My nephew had my cover drawing hanging up and I never liked it, it always looked like Batman had an oversized five-head. I think it looks better now.

Solider Field 10

It’s great to run this race again, I was better at this race compared to the half marathon I ran two weeks ago. Running five of the Solider Field 10 miler, I was surprised I only stopped to walk once, a first and I didn’t cramp up like I usually do. Even though I ran almost the same time as my first 10 miler, I felt great running this race compared to my first 10 miler. Three live races and two virtual 10 milers, marathoner training has officially begun.

Sold A Painting

A first, I sold a painting the other day. I had the piece hanging at Pekoe & Bean in Tinley Park. I was shocked when they told me I sold the first image below, really made my day. I brought them another painting so they can hang it at their shop. I wish I can thank the person who bought the painting, I’m still blown away someone bought a piece of my work.

First Race Since The Marathon

My first race since The Chicago Marathon, basically I wanted to see where I’m at with my time. I have to cut my time by 25 minutes, my first half marathon I ran it in two hours and five minutes. I think the older I get, the slower I get. Oh well, one more big race to go.

When water doesn’t cut it. I know this isn’t art related but I did two runs today, one in the morning on the treadmill and the other outside. I haven’t done that in a while, I need to get back on my A game because I have two big races next month to kick off my marathon training.

Team Paws Design Contest

Team Paws has a shirt design contest for their upcoming 5k this September, I kinda brushed it off but I kept thinking it would be nice to honor my three kids. Plus it would be great to see this on a shirt but if it doesn’t win, that’s ok, at least I tried. I want to keep it simple and not go too crazy with the design. Almost finished, still have to add Sam(dog) and Harley(dog) or just Harley because Sam’s paw print is right in the middle.

Testing Out An Old Guitar with The Super Ego

I remember I bought this guitar for $100 because it had a usb output for my computer. After I ripped out the guts and put new pickups, the usb didn’t work anymore, oh well it sounds better with the new pickups. I should of left it white but I think the paint job added some character to the Dreocaster, oh yeah that’s what I call the guitar. I’m glad it works well with my pedals.

Painting Ideas

I did another drawing in my new sketchbook today, trying to find another image to paint this weekend. The drawing was done in all pastels minus the white boarder around the flower, that was done with a correction pen. 😔☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽

I Miss You Sam 🐾

I can’t believe it’s almost a year since you left, I miss you everyday. I’m happy I was able to take you on one final walk, at the time I didn’t think it would be our last time together. You are my sunshine Sam, I hope you, Max and Harley are keeping each other company. I love you. 😔☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽☝🏽

Pekoe & Bean Artist Showcase

Pre Run and Post Run Painting

I started a painting before and after my run today, I never liked The Swamp Thing painting so I had no problem painting over it. Painting clouds really relaxes me, I find looking at the clouds very peaceful. On that note, have a great day and please be safe. From my heart to yours, I humbly bow.

That one time I tried out for Limp Bizkit.

I forgot I had this old article from 2002, I remember waiting in the freezing cold waiting to tryout for Limp Bizkit. Long story short, their guitarist left and they had open tryouts at Guitar Center and I was crazy enough to go and wait in line. I knew it would be a long shot being in Limp Bizkit but saying I went and tried out, was enough for me. I remember a friend said they saw me on tv waiting in line. The audition didn’t last more than a minute but I was ok with it, it was two seconds of me playing a riff and them saying thanks for coming in.

MOON Painting (Update)

I know I’m talking to myself but I updated the moon painting that I recently created in November. I really liked how I painted the moon on the mural and I was happy I was able to recreated it. Maybe I can bring this to the coffee shop that I had my other paintings at, I know they are doing an artist expo in April, hopefully they will ask me to take part. Flower Painting 2 (Time-Lapse)

I know I did a painting of this flower before but I thought it would be nice if I made a time lapse video to go along with the painting. Don’t get me wrong, I love the painting but I really enjoy seeing the step by step process more when I make a video. I don’t know why each painting is different and I think I found a way to improve upon on the new painting and I pretty much did the same thing minus one step.

The Mural

I finally finished the painting this past Saturday (2-26-22), I’m really happy. I made a time-lapse video of this piece (sorry, I lost half of the video footage, stupid memory card). I wanted the woman to tell her story behind the piece but I’ll save it for another time. We were both happy on how the painting turned out. A very special piece, I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed creating it. Sorry, I was kinda on the fence about posting the painting and the video.
